New Zealand Wool Mulch is a natural product made from untreated New Zealand sheep wool. These wool pellets are able to hold 1.5 – 2 times their weight in water thereby reducing the amount of times you have to water your plants. By being able to hold this water they will protect your plants from over-watering and will release this water when the plants require it.
The pellets can be used either on top of the soil as a mulch, or mixed into the soil as an additive. As the mulch expands with the water this will also increase the porosity of the soil for optimum root growth. As the mulch slowly breaks down it will release nutrients into your soil helping your plants grow all year round.
NZ Wool Mulch includes the following nutrients to help enhance your soil:
Macronutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Sulphur, Potassium, Calcium Magnesium
Micronutrients: Sodium, Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Boron.
